Saturday 28 April 14:00 – City Walk: Historic Women of Helsingborg

Photo: Kvinnokarta Helsingborg

Now you have the chance to walk in the historic women of Helsingborg’s footsteps! Join the “Kvinnokarta Helsingborg” on a city walk where you meet 10 memorable women; from the scary murderer to the teacher far ahead of her time. The walk lasts for about an hour and a half and the talk will be in English.

Here’s some information from Kvinnokarta Helsingborg:

A study circle at Medborgarskolan has developed the “women’s map” that forms the basis of the city walk. The Kvinnokarta Helsingborg project is a grassroots project by citizens who are tired of the one-sided storytelling about Helsingborg. We have no authorized guides and are not historians but our project is entirely based on the participants’ genuine interest in highlighting the women in Helsingborg’s history. If you have any information we are missing, please share them with our guides.

Other information: The tour is approximately 3 km long and is available for the permobil / wheelchair. Please dress according to the weather – the walk will only be cancelled if there is a big storm and in that case you will be notified via sms.”

Meet by the fountain next to the library (Stadsbibliotek) main entrance, Bollbrogatan 1, 25225 Helsingborg
