An Expat Story

Inna Selipanov is a foreigner living in Helsingborg for a little over 2 years now. Although she is technically American, she considers herself to be a citizen of the world. Being of Russian heritage, she spent the formative years of her adolescence and young adulthood in California. This was followed by a collective 14 years in Germany, between Berlin and Frankfurt, and then came the relocation to Sweden. In all the places she goes, Inna takes her ever-growing family with her. Initially following her husband’s career endeavours, Inna has been on a journey of her own personal and professional discovery. And even though there are many bumps along the way, the journey is far from ended.

Saturday 2 October 13:00 – POW! WOW! Sweden Street Art Tour

The POW! WOW! Sweden street art festival took place between 26th August and 3rd September in Gåsebäck, Helsingborg. It was the first time the festival had taken place in Sweden and it was arranged by a group of locals led by Kulturhotellet.

As only the second city in Europe to host the most influential street art festival in the world, POW! WOW! Sweden resulted in one of Sweden’s biggest open-air galleries for public art, with around 25 permanent murals made by artists from Sweden, Scandinavia, and other European countries. To learn more about these murals we are happy to offer a guided tour hosted by HIC and Peter Eriksson, the main organizer behind POW! WOW! Sweden.

The guided tour will give you context, background info, and a detailed description/story about the artists and the finished murals. Welcome to join us!
