Join Sheila for a few hours of landscape drawing in Helsingborg. This is a taster session for all levels, whether you are trying out sketching for the first time, or have previous experience. The group will be limited to 10 people. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, and a bottle of water & something to sit on would be advisable too.
Please bring your own sketch pad and pencils. Sheila recommends you bring an A4 sketch pad of good quality paper (Akademibokhandlen has a very good selection, with cheaper options at Flying Tiger) and either 2B or 4B pencils (not HB).
This session can be followed up by a visit to Painter’s Week at Sofiero (29 July-4 August), when entrance is free for those entering with art materials!
Meeting place: Bruket kaffebar, Bruksgatan 9, 252 23 Helsingborg. The owner has been kind enough to let us meet up here for an initial chat and getting to know each other, please buy your own coffee there.
Cost: 60 SEK (refundable up to 7 days in advance)
You may recognise Sheila as the artist who created the artwork for the 2019 HIC calendar. She studied Art and Design at the Manchester School of Art and takes her sketch book, pastels and pencils with her everywhere she goes. She is also a talented jazz and blues singer, performing regularly in Helsingborg and Denmark.
During our events we sometimes take photographs and short videos to share on the HIC website and social media. If you prefer not to be in any photos or videos, please let us know at the beginning of the event. Thank you!
