Looking for the secrets to success in the business world? One of the tools used by many professionals is Linkedin, the online social network which helps you “link in” with potential business partners, find a job, connect with previous colleagues, follow up on and store the valuable contacts made in your daily work life, and much more.
During our workshop, we will be talking about what LinkedIn
is and how you can find interesting forums for discussion, ways of connecting with others with similar experience to yours and grow your professional network. The event will be hosted in Swedish, but questions and information in English are always welcome. If you already have a LinkedIn
profile and would like to share it with us, please send a link to firstname.lastname@example.org
Our speaker Fairooz Al-Tamimi, Project Management Consultant and Enabler, will talk about her journey from brand new arrival in Sweden just a few years ago, to author, columnist, entrepreneur and facilitator. She will talk about some of the obstacles she has had to overcome, and explain how networking and active engagement in her new surroundings have helped her progress to the stage she is at today.
HIC co-founder Jenny Wieslander Chandler will talk about the importance of a Linkedin profile in Sweden, and give tips on professional networking.
Free entry. Coffee, tea and sandwiches will be provided.

Helsingborg International Connections invites the local small business community, Mindpark entrepreneurs and HIC members & friends to an evening of knowledge-sharing and networking at the co-working, drop-in-office and meeting space Mindpark, in Helsingborg. You don’t have to be a business owner – join us if you are just curious and would like to know more about our local community and its facilities! Thanks to Mindpark for hosting this event!
We will listen to local entrepreneurs who will share their successes and their mistakes, and discuss how to successfully reach our goals by learning from the experiences of others. We’ll find out how to broaden our professional contact base and reach out to other small business-owners in the region with whom we can have mutually beneficial relationships!
There will be a “Speed Dating for Entrepreneurs” session for anyone who wants to share their business and actively promote their message. You’ll have two minutes to share your pitch and then listen to your “Date” before moving on to the next! Please notify us as soon as possible at email@example.com if you would like to take part in the speed-dating session!
This will be a unique opportunity for the area’s international community to learn more about Mindpark’s facilities and the many small businesses which are based there. Karsten Deppert, Mindpark’s start-up and e-commerce guru will introduce the evening and explain how this dynamic space operates.
For the Mindpark co-workers, incubator start-ups and others, it will be a chance to develop their global perspective and build bridges with a fast-growing sector of the Öresund Region’s rapidly expanding community, whilst promoting their own business or start-up.
