Email address policy

Your email address will only be used for newsletters with information about upcoming events organised by Helsingborg International Connections (HIC) and other events and information which may be relevant for internationals moving to Helsingborg and the Greater Copenhagen Region.

Our aim is to spread news, information and invitations to events, as well as receive notifications and compile attendance lists along with statistics. In order to subscribe to our newsletter, our policy must be accepted.

Your email address will not be given, sold, lent out or made available for use to any other company. All mailings are conducted by technologies that do not show addresses to other subscribers.

Subscribers are able to unsubscribe from newsletter mailings at any time.

Consent for the processing of your personal data according to GDPR

By registering to our events, you give your permission to Helsingborg International Connections (HIC), according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to register your name and email address to be used for the sole purpose of distributing newsletters and invitations to events. The information may not be shared or distributed without your permission in accordance with Section 26 of the Personal Data Act (1998:204).

By subscribing as a HIC member, you give your permission to Helsingborg International Connections (HIC), according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to register the following information:

  • Your name; email address; telephone number (optional); city and country of residence
  • Your nationality; language; employer and occupation (if any)
  • Your date of arrival in Sweden and other countries lived in
  • Your Linkedin profile (optional); interests and hobbies (optional)

for the purpose of assisting your social or professional integration into the local community and compiling statistics. The information may not be shared or distributed without your permission in accordance with Section 26 of the Personal Data Act (1998:204). You may at any time request to deregister as a HIC member by writing an email to members@hiconnections.eu. Your membership will be deactivated within 5 working days.

Period of validity: The consent is valid until you request for removal
