Have you heard of the expression “Transferable Skills”? Have you thought about how to transfer your daily experiences and life-skills onto your CV and into a new career? Join us for this confidence-boosting workshop in the modern showroom of Lakritsfabriken, a young but thriving local company which has developed its niche brand of liquorice products into a successful Swedish export.
We welcome three speakers who will talk about their ex-pat experiences in Sweden and how, by adjusting their skills to fit their current circumstances, they have re-trained, set up a new business, or found opportunities where they were least expected.
The concept of transferable skills is much more developed and recognised in the UK as a strategy that helps professionals return to work and/or develop their careers. Jenny has participated in a course by Diana Wolfin, an expert in this field, and will talk about what she learnt from Diana at the beginning of the evening.
Tracey Christiansen, author of recently-published book “Brave or Stupid”
